Illuminating York drop-in workshop
30 October, 6 - 8pm
Enjoy the gallery, open late especially for the Illuminate festival, and take part in a drop-in drawing workshop as part of the Big Draw.

Brooches, Buttons and Beads
13 November, 10am - 3pm
A hands-on session with Deb New, making accessories for bags and hats or decorative pieces that can simply be worn as brooches, inspired by the works of art of display. Bring along buttons, beads and old costume jewellery to add to your creations.

Open Evening

Discover more about art in a series of curators' talks, highlighting key works of art throughout the gallery. This is a popular, annual event run in partnership with City of York Council's Adult and Community Education team.

York Mystery Plays
19 August
This talk will take visitors along the medieval route of the Mystery Plays, which were performed on waggons at 12 points around the city, through prints and drawings in our new exhibition in the Little Gallery.
