The shop is in the foyer of the gallery next to the entrance desk and the cafe.

Choose from a selection of postcards, greetings cards, books and small souvenirs.

We also have a colourful range of children’s gifts and books, including pens, pencils, games and notebooks.

We often have a number of products designed to tie-in with our current exhibitions which are usually very popular with customers.

Special publications

Our range of books includes some of our own publications, such as York Through the Eyes of an Artist, and Through the Needle’s Eye – the Patchwork and Quilt Collection at York Castle Museum. Fans of our paintings can also see the whole collection in colour in the book, Oil Paintings in Public Ownership in North Yorkshire, published by the Public Catalogue Foundation.

Our latest publication is a full-colour catalogue to accompany the exhibition. William Etty: Art and Controversy, which runs until 22 January, 2012.

Copies have been selling well since the exhibition opened in June so please contact us or call in to ensure you get your copy!

The book has been edited by Dr Sarah Burnage, researcher and exhibition curator, Prof Mark Hallett from the University of York and Laura Turner, our curator of art.

It costs £25 and is available to order by post at the following rates:
