York Mystery Plays

The Mystery Plays return to York on 11 and 18 July, 2010, a series of medieval plays based on episodes from the Bible which are performed on wagons around the city streets in a tradition dating back to the 1300s.

In this exhibition, organised in collaboration withthe York Guilds' Mystery Plays Board, we take you along the medieval route of the plays. Alongside 15th century documents, the prints and drawings on display will show the original 12 stopping places of the waggons.

Please note this exhibition will be closed on 5 and 6 August, 2010.
